In short
- The site sets no cookies.
- Until you press a button in the cookie panel or start filling in the request form, nothing is written to your browser.
- After you choose, one record of that choice is kept in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
- When you start filling in the request form, the Cloudflare Turnstile security check loads and keeps one record in the local storage of its own frame.
- There is no analytics and no advertising on the site, and no other third-party content.
What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep and to send back with every request. Local storage is a similar place in your browser where a site can keep small pieces of data; unlike cookies, this data is not sent to the server with requests. The same rules on consent apply to both, which is why both are covered here.
What this site keeps in your browser
| Name | Type | Purpose | When it appears | Kept for | Set by | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| bintang_cookie_consent | Local storage (not a cookie) | Remembers your answer in the cookie panel: the version of the panel, the date, and which button you pressed | After you press “Accept all” or “Reject all” | 12 months, then the site asks again; or until you clear your browser data | This site (first party). Not sent to the server | Necessary |
| cf.turnstile.u | Local storage of the Cloudflare Turnstile frame, challenges.cloudflare.com (not a cookie) | Used by the Turnstile security check that confirms the request form is sent by a person. Cloudflare does not publish a description of this record; when we checked it, it held an encoded value with a time stamp | After you start filling in the request form | No expiry is set; it stays until you clear your browser data | Cloudflare, Inc. (third party) | Necessary (security) |
The record of your choice is strictly necessary to respect that choice, so it does not itself require consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. It contains no identifier and cannot be used to recognise you.
The Turnstile record appears only when you use the request form, a service you ask for, and the form cannot be protected from automated submissions without the check. Cloudflare states that the signals Turnstile collects are strictly necessary to detect and block bots. When we tested the form, Turnstile set no cookies. The table was compiled by inspecting the site in a browser; Cloudflare may change how Turnstile works, and we will update this page when we notice a change.
What the site does not use
- Analytics or statistics cookies. The cookie panel therefore has no optional categories: “Accept all” and “Reject all” lead to the same result today, and only your answer is recorded.
- Advertising or tracking cookies.
- Social media buttons, maps, videos or other content loaded from other websites.
- Fonts loaded from other websites: the fonts are served from the site's own domain.
- Cookies for the request form: the form and its security check worked without them when we tested them.
How to change your choice
- Open “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. The panel opens again and you can accept or reject.
- Clear the site data in your browser settings. The record is deleted and the panel appears on your next visit.
- If JavaScript is switched off in your browser, the panel is not shown and nothing is stored.
“Accept all” and “Reject all” are equally easy to use, and rejecting does not limit what you can see or do on the site. The Turnstile check is not switched off by “Reject all”, because the request form cannot be sent without it. If you prefer not to run it, write to us by email at contact@bintangarthadunia.com instead of using the form.
Changes
If the site starts to use any new cookie or storage, this page will be updated first, the version of the cookie panel will change, and you will be asked again. Optional tools will stay off unless you accept them.
